Dominique Now.

Dominique Mendoza is an active and emerging presence in the Sydney jazz scene, and a previous member of the Swing West Jazz Orchestra (SWJO).

Deeply inspired by jazz pioneers such as Dexter Gordon and Ben Webster, Dominique has cultivated a distinct sound characterised by rich, warm tones and expressive, lyrical phrasing. His playing honours the traditional jazz language while infusing it with the rhythmic vitality and soulful warmth of his Colombian cultural heritage — creating performances that breathe, sway, and connect intimately with his audiences.

Beyond his work with the SWJO, Dominique continues to find solace in his craft, beginning the Dominique Mendoza Quartet.  His artistry as a soloist and ensemble player highlights his dedication to jazz. Dominique continues to evolve his craft through collaboration, performance, and sharing his passion for jazz with the next generation of musicians.
